Workout Recap and Meal Plan

Hey There, Fit Fam

Its a very chilly Sunday here in North Western Ontario, so chilly that the rain has turned snow and our lovely green grass that I cut just yesterday will be covered again with a blanket of white. You might be gasping in shock that it is snowing in May, but this is very typical for a Red Lake Spring.

The girls and I had a really fun week! We won tickets for Stars on Ice from Rebecca’s skating club. So the 3 girls and I went on a mid week road trip to Winnipeg for the Big Show. It was AMAZING!!! The skill that these athletes possess is astounding! The very Best Part was watching Red Lake’s own, Eric Radford and his partner Meagan Duhamel, skate with other World Class athletes!

The girls and I always try to make the most of our trips, so we ordered room service and shopped till we dropped!! As always it was a bit of a whirl wind and I was wiped by Friday. That didn’t stop us from having a grand night out with friends. We enjoyed BBQ, drinks, a boat ride and a camp fire!

That however left me EXHAUSTED and hungover 😦  !! I spent the ENTIRE day in bed on Saturday and was asleep by 10 pm last night. I was still feeling very tired today and spent most of my day lounging on the couch. Thank goodness its a long weekend, because this mama needs some REST!!

Although my week was busy I did mange almost all my workouts, although I had to tweak a few,

Workout Recap May 10-17

Sunday – Swim 1500

Monday – 14 mile Bike – it was very windy and i struggled the entire way home


Tuesday – 6 mile run – 9:29 pace wit my running partner

Also hit a major milestone – 1000KM on my nike plus app.

Wednesday –  Swim – I woke up early and swam 1200 at early birds. It was my first early swim and I LOVED it!!

Thursday – 3.1 miles on the hotel treadmill – I could tell I was starting to burn out because I was feeling sick and had to stop.

Friday – REST DAY

Saturday – Rest Day

Sunday – 9 mile run – 10:17 it was COLD, WET and WINDY but I had to push and get it done.

Meal Plan – May 17 – 23, 2015

Sunday – Family supper – Spaghetti at my dads.

Monday – BBQ ribs, baked potato, green beans, salad

Tuesday – Left overs ribs and salad

Wednesday – Chicken Tortilla Soup

Thursday – Leftovers

Friday – Pizza

Saturday – BBQ

Breakfasts – Racing weight pancakes, Cereal, toast

Lunches – salad, eggs

Snacks – Fruit, yogurt, cut up veggies and humus. Muffins

    1. Thanks Jill! I am hitting almost all my target workouts and meals but I just haven’t had the energy to blog as well. I feel sad, but at the end of they I am pretty tired.
